>From what I've seen Linux still doesn't hold your hand much.  For most power-users that's fine, but the average user will not be willing to argue with the OS to get a piece of software to run.  They don't even willingly fight with Windows to get a new piece of hardware installed, as shown by all the stores that offer installation services.  Also, the game market is driving home PC sales now.  As long as Windows is the biggest seller, games will continue to keep it that way.  In the corporate market, though, I can see possibilities.  StarOffice / OpenOffice is pretty good now, and can at least challenge the heavily entrenched MS Office.
