[KLUG Advocacy] Vocab Niggle (eponymous)

O'Rielly released a new book entitled "RADIUS: Securing Public Access to 
Private Resources" by Jonathan Hassell.

UNIX Review contains the following sentence "If you need to know RADIUS, 
Jonathan Hassell's eponymous book may be the least painful way to learn about 
it."

Is this actually "eponymous";  I was told "eponymous" meant named after the 
author, creator, founder, etc...  Is it correct to use it in this general sense 
(named after topic) as well?
