Sure; this is like saying that robbing banks is a crime, but some people 
do it anyway. So what?

Some organizations would simply do well to file for a different kind of tax-
exempt status. Also, the IRS will tell them this if needed. Getting tax-exempt
status, and then violating the regulations that go with it is simply dumb,
especially if you KNEW you were going to conduct activities that would take 
you out of compliance.
