Don't you watch Mythbusters (Wednesday 9pm Discovery Channel).  These 
guys test Urban Legends.  And they did try to make a cell phone cause an 
explosion with gasoline.  You would need to see the show to know these 
guys tried to recreate the incident of legend and could not make it 
work.  They also go above and beyond what would have been plausible to 
make explosions happen, but if I recall correctly, they could not under 
any circumstance make a cell phone ignite gas.

Bruce I thought the TLC/Discovery Channels were right up you alley?
