well... generally no problem with used... most non-moving parts computer
componets don't "wear-out"... i agree that symbios stuff it great in terms
of price/performance and OS support... (i was triple booting linux beos and
win98 at one point with a symbios in... not a problem at all...)  i actually
picked up an old hardware SCSI-raid controller at a show for 20 dollars
once.... works great....
