Greetings

In an effort to learn about php and so that klug would have a database driven
library page, I have been doing a little programming. The results of it can be
found here:

http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/librarydb/

It features the ability to look at the contents of the library by Title, Author
sorted by last name or first, Publisher. You can see a list of the available
authors and publishers and the number of titles available from each.

To make an attempt to reduce the number of books on my shelves and increase the
number of books being read by klug members, I will do a little promoting from
time to time of different titles. So here is my first installment.

Using Caldera open linux.

http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/librarydb/titleadd.php?title_id=23
This is an 1100+ page book. It discusses the basics of just about every linux
topic. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants a little information on
everything. Especially if you use Caldera.

http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/librarydb/titleadd.php?title_id=6
This is the third edition published in August of 1999. 700+ pages of information
still relevant today.

http://www.kalamazoolinux.org/librarydb/titleadd.php?title_id=63
This is about 850 pages of information about what a firewall is and how they
work. If your a paranoid penguin then I recommend this for you. This is one of
the more recent entries into our library.

The following can be obtained by e-mailing me at bartleyd2@chartermi.net

Not itemized in the database we also have the following books on cd.
Unix Backup and Recovery 1999
Building Linux Clusters 2000
Apache the Definitive Guide 1999

Available for free:
Shrink-wrapped boxes of Caldera Openlinux 2.3

Delivery is still not available. You must come to a meeting to get one.
