As I said before, the stock Redhat 7.1 kernel does NOT include NTFS.
On my stock Redhat 7.1 systems, the following command turns up nothing:

  # locate ntfs|grep modules

On the system where I have a custom kernel with NTFS on, I get:

  # locate ntfs|grep modules
  /lib/modules/2.4.7/kernel/fs/ntfs
  /lib/modules/2.4.7/kernel/fs/ntfs/ntfs.o

You need to compile a custom kernel and turn on NTFS support!
