   Take this from my Windows experience w/ Seagate Travan drives.... Go buy a
DAT drive!!!! Travan is unreliable when it comes to longevity. Using 5 tapes
and rotate them daily and your lucky if you get a years usage out of the
tapes. They take forever to format and constantly have verify errors! (Even
when new)

   As for my 3 year old DAT drive... SAME media as the day it was purchased
and it runs along just fine. (Although the media is starting to show signs of
it's age)....

   Travan Tape 8gb = $22.00

   DAT 24gb Tape = $ 7.50
