Well, Brian and I ran an install on an IBM PC365 and it picked up every
last bit of hardware. The video card (fancy 8Mb thing), the modem (ISA),
the CD-RW, all of which it took hours of stuggling to get to "work" with
Windows 9x. Wonderful stuff, at one point I was laughing so hard I
almost fell out of my chair. RH7.2 is so stinkin' easy. The biggest
problem I had was that control-panel is gone and I didn't know the command
to bring up the "User Manager". We stuck in an NE2000 so we could install
Ximian/Evolution with red-carpet, went into the network-config thingly
and in about four mouse clicks were on the network (no reboot of course).
Installed everything, no problem. X restarts, and there is Ximian GNOME
(no reboot of course). Amazing. Pulled the NE2000 out, put in the ISA
modem, turned the machine on, and "Generic Serial Modem" detected. Ha!
Setup the IBM4019 laster printer of lp0, the new printer config thingy is
very nice.

Now I've got two questions.

1. Prodigy. Can you call them with PPP? Any tricks required?

2. He has an HP895Cxe that he connects via USB. I know a HP895Cxe works
because I own one, but it is on a lwoly parrallel port. But is RH going
to see that? How can once config it before hand (as I don't own a USB cable)?
