Get the code weavers version of Wine via red-carpet's code weavers
subscription. It comes with a config wizard. The hardest part about wine
is generating that stupid config file. of course Wine still bails on lots
of stuff, but I've used it to run some trivial apps, and beside using the
garish and frumpy win32 widgets instead of my sleek and themed GTK ones,
it all worked.
