Do you have very strange hardware? I've installed RH7.2 on > 12 machines now of
widely varying types, and had no problems. What RPM is it failling on? What
are you selecting to be be installed. It does work better (with all distros) to
do a fairly minimal installation and add stuff later (gnorpm)

If you just want flow charts, ERDs, and UML you can use Dia.

If you want "network exploration and integration" there is scotty+tkined. It is
an older TCL based package (rather ugly) but it works like a champ.

If you want every stinkin' feature known to man and have >256Mb of RAM (no
joke, don't bother if you don't) check out OpenNMS which can count the angels
on the head of a pin, overthrow petty tyrants, part the sea, and search for
water on the moon, all while blind folded and with one hand tied behind it's
back.

NU-Nomad seems like a nice in-between but last time I tried I couldn't get any
fire out of it. But then, I didn't try all that hard.
