>Do we need 7 lists?
Perhaps. The number of list is less important than other factors.

>At the rate by which we seem to be adding and modifying our lists we'll soon

The members list itself ought to be common ground for everyone. When we
started to set up lists, we required that everyone retain membership in the
common list so we could maintain a sense of cohesion in the group. Not everyone
wants to read about a couple of peoples travails with a video card, or see
people talk about the advantages of other OS'es. Thus, we develop lists.

There are no hard and fast rules for this; I expect some will be developed
over time. No one is going to flame you posting it to a broad list, such as
members, BUT if it develops into athread, I would expect that someone will
encourage you and other thread participants to move it off the members list
and onto one of the more specialized lists, probably depending on how the
thread develops.

Ultimately, this will also depend on your own judgement.
