Sounds like a good reason to start one!

Here in Orlando, we have two user groups.  One meets on the west
side (LEAP-CF), the other meets on the east side (ELUG) -- some
members make both meetings (like myself).  But we still use the same
list for both (so we reach the greatest number of people).
