I found DDD which is a front end for GDB.  It requires
Motif/OpenMotif/Lesstif,  and since I paid $$$ for Motif I installed
that.  The interface is pretty obvious (Oh yea!  I wanna press that
button...) and the binary RPM installed happily.  Of course it hasn't
helped me with my problem yet,  but the debugger works...
