[KLUG Members] The Hunt for Hardware....

Recently, I was looking for a decent SCSI card at a good price. I recall
seeing BT-930's or BT-950's and similar such cards around the net for
fairly paltry sums, such as 60-90 dollars, and if I saw them for less, it
didn't surprise me. This week I go out there and start looking, and
there's nothing around for less than about $130! Wha' happened?!? I don't
have huge ambitions, I simply want to drive a CD-R and a scanner, maybe
buy a real hard drive someday... and perhaps explore the wonders of RAID
(if I got a 950, that is).

Perhaps I'm a cheapskate, but ponying up the extra $30 all of the sudden
is something of a nuisance. Oh, I'll do it if I have to, but before I
actually go for that, I'd like to know what drove all of "those" card into
the shadows, or can anyone reccomend an equivalent "decent" SCSI card??
