Hey Doc ... get an external (serial port) modem, plug it 
in, reboot (I think there is a purist way to avoid that 
reboot), add your ISP number thingies and surf away! 

And then, a couple months after finally figuring out that 
an external modem was "the" way to go ... I got a cable 
modem. :-)

Ahhh ... but it, too, is external :-)
