I have an anecdotal answer. Over the weekend I installed BSWare 7.1 #8 on a 
machine with an (HP) IDE CD burner, and as a result of probing things, it 
added a load of SCSI emulation to lilo.conf. for that drive. I was impressed.
This was ***not** BSWare Pro, but I suspect it's not different in this regard.
