Alan,

  You might want to try out the rpms built for enigma at www.freshrpms.net,
of the three most commonly used dvd software, xine with d4d plugin (for decss)
is the fastest, videolan works on encrypted dvds without any mods, and ogle
can do some neat title selections. All of those work well on my rh7.0 system.

  Mplayer, http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/news.html claims to play all kinds
of video formats, including dvds, fast, and without clunky GUI. But I'm too
swamped with choices to try it out.. :)
