You know... now that I re-check, it looks like I don't have a
proxy on outgoing port 80 anymore.

I set up a little tool at http://censorware.net/env.pl that will
tell me (or you) the Apache environmental variables for your
connection.  My REMOTE_ADDR matches my IP address which is a
pretty good indication that I'm not coming through a proxy.
It didn't used to be that way... unless my memory is going bad...
