David will be speaking about the convergence of the Linux and the
open-source movement and Apple?s BSD-based OS X. He will discuss the
integration of older software on Apple?s new OS and the state of native
OS X software, including the prevalence of ports from the Linux, BSD and
OpenStep communities. He is likely to touch on how the ability to run
mainstream apps on a Unix-based platform within a single consistent GUI
makes him absolutely giddy with pleasure (14 days of uptime running
Photoshop "WOO-HOO!"). He will also attempt to convince you that he is
not a Macintosh Zealot, but he might be lying.
