Isn't the memo conduit availble from the gnome control center? I think the memo
conduit simply comes with the gnome-pilot RPMs. It doens't interface with any
application, it simply stores wee little text files in a directory that you
specify. These can be edited with gedit, vi, emacs, pico, joe, etc... No real
magic. I'v often thought it would be nice if it would use CVS so changes to
memos could be tracked but that might be likened to blowing out a candle by
putting it in a wind tunnel. At this point Memos are about the only thing I
find the Palm to be useful for, besides consuming an inordinate number of
batteries. (Stupid thing is dead every time I *need* what is in it).

http://freecoins.sourceforge.net/ was working on a GnuCash conduit but the main
developer has "retired". Very unfortunate. It has been a rough couple of
months for GnuCash as the http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnupos/ (a POS system
that integrated to GnuCASH) has closed down as well. But if rumors are correct
GnuCASH's development version will soon sport an XML-RPC interface which will
make such things much easier than having to link to their engine shared library
(ick!).
