[KLUG Members] X not working

After installing RedHat 7.1, I cannot get Xwindows to initialize.  It
ran fine during the probe during install (X started just to display the
button to close it-to prove it worked), but now it doesn't.  Instead, I
get a pcidata module not found error.  The rgb file also was not
created.  I tried running the install, setup and Xconfig utilities but
none will even initialize during the setup.
   I am running on a Gateway Solo Notebook with ATI Rage Mobility AGP
adaptor. (I also had this exact problem and errors on one of my desktop
machines when using my AGP video cards- tried a Rage Fury 32 meg and
Asus V7100 32meg)
   I could just put Caldera back on my notebook, but I would rather be
on the bleeding edge and feel this pain.
