>Anybody know of any open source fax server software packages
>available?

Hylafax. There is a presentation on the KLUG box about it.

>I've got a number of users who want to be able to fax from the desktop
>and I'd like to see what can be done.

Hylafax will do that.

>Idealy it would work just like printing a document (maybe setting up a
>samba share or something) that'll que it to be faxed out.

Hylafax will do that. You need to install the client on the Win9x box.
Store inbound faxes as PDFs, etc....

Cover page maint is a PAIN, but I've never met fax software where it wasn't.

You ***NEED*** to have a supported FAX modem. ***GOOD*** fax modems are still
expensive (relatively speaking). Spend the money! Or you'll end up with
handfuls of your own hair.
