[KLUG Members] Serial LILO

I have a linux box that normally has no monitor or keyboard. Since there's
a Windows box next to it that does, I've hooked up a null-modem cable
between the serial ports. I can't seem to make much use out of it, though.
I am working on a new kernel and want to use the serial terminal option in
LILO. Here's the problem. When I reboot with the terminal emulation
running on the Windows box, it seems to be one-way communication. I see
the LILO information, and I can watch it boot my default kernel, but I
can't talk to it. Serial settings must be right, since I'm seeing that,
but I can't control it at all. Could this be a flow control weirdness or
something? I've tried both Windows 2000 Hyperterm and Vandyke software's
CRT without success. Any brilliant ideas out there?
