[KLUG Members] Sinister Web Sites

I'm not sure about history files, but I know that if you happen upon certain
web pages, it can plant favorites in your folder. My father (a CRC pastor)
had one on his computer at home, and I KNOW he doesn't surf porn ( I run a
squid proxy ) . However, the "favorite" is there...

I know this is somewhat off topic, but is it possible for a web site to
"plant" a URL within your browsers history files? My wife discovered a URL
for a porn site in the drop down box (in IE) on my kids computer. They are
quite young, so I would be very surprised it got there intentionally.

Thanks,

Dan
