KB.  You have 64MB of memory, and 128MB of swap, or 192MB of virtual memory.
You could easily be running out of total virtual memory (192MB).

Keep an eye on your swap space usage.

I'd buy more memory.  It should help a lot.

Unless you're running a real slow CPU, then I'd buy a whole new PC.   :-)
