>>Hylafax will do that. You need to install the client on the Win9x
>>box. Store inbound faxes as PDFs, etc....
>I can verify this. Were running Hylafax over here. The server is
>solid as a rock. The client software leaves something to be desired. While the
>client programs are good, they are quirky at times.

What client do your use? whfc or Ceaphus?

>I have the system convert faxes into .pdf files and email the
>dispatchers. Hylafax is pretty quick with the conversion process. Our
>setup uses one faxmodem for send and receiving faxes..
>>Cover page maint is a PAIN, but I've never met fax software where
>>it wasn't.
>I didn't find it that big of a deal. Then again, I just downloaded
>an example one, edited it and dropped it in place. The beauty of the
>coverpage(s) though, through the client software, you can select from ANY
>available coverpages that you might have around. Be warned, the coverpages
>are ONLY supported in postscript format.
>>You ***NEED*** to have a supported FAX modem. ***GOOD*** fax modems
>>are still expensive (relatively speaking). Spend the money! Or you'll
>>end up with handfuls of your own hair.
>Here, here! I went through 6 modems (various makers) here in the
>office before I found one that worked RELIABLY! Of course, it's a US
>Robotics!

I like Multitech modems for faxing.
