Help Please,

I need bleeding edge python. I DL'd the latest rpms

#rpm -Uhv ./python2.2-2.2a4-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
	libcrypto.so.0.9.6 is needed by python2.2-2.2a4-1
	libssl.so.0.9.6 is needed by python2.2-2.2a4-1

#locate libcrypto
/usr/lib/libcrypto.a
/usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.6

along with some other stuff. The libs are clearly installed but just to
make sure Ill do

# rpm -q openssl
openssl-0.9.6-2

ok.. rpm --rebuilddb might help.

and maybe Ill ill check /etc/ld.conf.so for /usr/lib and ldconfig it.

No fix. Ill google it. I must of sorted through 35 different hits of
people having the exact same problem with 35 different apps. The general
reply for help tends to
be get the openssl rpm and update. I know thats not the problem though.
Any ideas.

I just switched to Redhat from SuSE and everything else has been smooth
but this shouldn't be happening. I know this mailing list is full of
Redhat fans. I would appricaite any help.
