SGI has released a 2.4.9-7PR3 to match the 2.4.9-7 kernel update for
7.2 (RedHat's 2.4.9-6 release was for 7.1):

Okay, the problem with this wasn't the XFS code in the kernel, nor
anything "run-time."  It is the mkfs.xfs program screwing up in
creating the inodes/structures beyond 1TB because a signed integer
was used.  It is fixed in the latest xfsprogs released here:
