TheBS here in Oviedo (NE Orlando).

My Ala Mater, the University of Central Florida (UCF), is joining
the Mid American Conference (MAC) as a football only member next
year. Our tentative schedule switch places Western Michigan on our
schedule as an away game. Lo and behold, I look up WMU and there's
the address, Kalamazoo! Cool!

I'll let you'all know when I'm coming up (I gotta see my
sister-in-law who lives in Michigan as well before my wife kills me
;-). If you're a WMU or other MAC school, drop me a line off-list
on what you think of UCF's football program joining the MAC.

Who's UCF?

Short [sports] answer: Daunte Culpepper (who went 14-0 against MAC
teams ;-)

Long answer: School founded in 1963 as an engineering school for
the space program (original name, Florida Technological University,
FTU). We currently offer the second most degrees and graduate
programs in the state (second only to Florida, yes more than FSU,
Miami, etc...). 2nd largest research park the nation, 4x the size
of the campus (second to the research triangle in NC, which has more
hospitals whereas we have actual technology firms). Current
enrollment, 36,000 (yes 36K).
