The last time I checked, all MS-DOS releases (including 7.x aka
Windows 9x/ME) as well as NT 3.1-4.0 use the same MBR (although not
certain about NT 4.0 SP6a, it does some weird stuff with the
bootstrap, possibly the MBR too?). As such, the same MBR should
work for all.

Don't know about Windows 2000 though.

P.S. Remember, don't confuse the MBR (the first 1+ sectors in the
first cylinder of the hard drive), with the bootstrap (the first 1+
sectors of a primary or other booting partition).
