Does anyone know of a trick to receive realaudio streams from the
command line?

Given that we have truly terrible radio reception I'm looking to a way
to receive audio without having to login to a station and start the
player since I know the URLs of everything I want to listen to.  

I can send commands to the computer using my X-10 remote.

Unfortunately stations like NPR don't offer "open" streams such as MP3,
etc...
