[KLUG Members] Disabled logins

I was playing with login permissions a while back on my Red Hat 7.1
system and somehow disabled all user logins except for root.  When I try
to login is a regular user, from the console, the command shell is
briefly displayed, then I am logged out.  When I try to su from root to
a regular user I receive the message "could not open session".  Since I
did this some time ago I just can't remember what I did.  Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
