There has been some talk of presenting "Advocacy" presentations in the
month of December, so if you've switched to a Linux desktop/workstation
or deployed Linux in a previously non-Linux environment this is the time
to step forward and share your experiences.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Notice that we have two guest speakers:

Glenn Jacobsen founder and CEO of Unique Systems, a company which deploys
and supports LTSP (Linux Terminal Server Project) environments.

David Butler not-a-Mac-bigot, an independent computer consultant
specializing in Macintosh services.

Both will be sharing their experiences with Linux and Open Source
software.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
KLUG is going to be implementing a presentation rating system in order to
assist potential attendees what topics may be best suited to their level
of expertise and areas of intrest. Feel free to send any suggestions
regarding this to the programdirector@kalamazoolinux.org.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
We are still looking for presenters on the following topics:

Dia
GIMP
UML
Video/Multimedia Editing (Broadcast 2000?)
XML
Samba
SQL and relation database concepts
Accounting packages for Linux
Automating desktop tasks (Macros is GNOME?)
What is .NET/SOAP/SOUP/XML-RPC?
USB and Linux
CORBA

If you have experience with any of these topics and a little spare time
contact the programdirector@kalamazoolinux.org. Speakers receive a free
CD. Knowledge wants to be free, liberate yours!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Have a topic you'd like to present, or even a suggestion for a topic you
would like to see presented? Contact programdirector@kalamazoolinux.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't miss the KLUG Jeopardy Halloween party! Pizza and beverages
provided. Watch (or participate) as KLUG's uber-geeks duke it out in a
round of techno-jeopardy.
