Yes, if you base your assumptions on "general networking
principles."
But because you haven't worked with 802.11 (Wireless LAN), you don't
know that it does *NOT* work like 802.3 (Ethernet). It's a whole
new ballgame.

Yes. But, again, 802.11 != 802.3. 802.3 does not require any
bridging to function -- the source always talks to the destination
directly when bridge isn't used (and can be easily "encapsulated"
when you do need to bridge). 802.11 requires an access point so it
_always_ requires bridge, so adding another bridge in "AdHoc" mode
adds an unforseen complication.
I'll show you what I mean on paper sometime.
