I do this with sendmail since my retardo DSL provide paniced about Code Red /
Red Worm / whatever-silly-ie-outlook-vb-blab-blah worm that was.

Then I set my MX record to point to an interface on a real network which relays
port 25 at that address to the high port on my firewall which relays that to
port 25 on my mail server.

Having to jump through so many hoops in an unfortunate part of life right now.
I'm still shopping about for a new provider. I've enquired via e-mail about
this issue to Ameritech several time, but of course those block heads never
write back.

Anyone in GR want to put together a volunteer wireless ISP? :) All options here
suck.
