Ack!  I just went through this on two other lists!!!

First off, it is _so_easy_ to just boot a Linux installer and delete
adnd/or re-partition.  There is no excuse to do it that way. 
Especially given the fact that Microsoft FDISK (like other
utilities) is not only non-Windows ignorant, but sometimes even
other Windows ignorant (because of the dual DOS/NT lines and shit).

Secondly, if you like System Commander, you'll love GPL XOSL
(http://www.xosl.org).  It has it's own little mini-32-bit OS that
you can run Ranish Partition Manager under right from the boot
loader.
