Couldn't you just use your @home web space with a static page that
redirects to your web server at your house(?) on a high level port?
Using port redirection you could then accept the connection at your
firewall on this high level port and 'redirect' it to Port 80, or even
better yet, just change the Apache listening port in the Apache
http.conf file. With the problems of Code Red and other worms affecting
port 80, the listening port change is probably a better option anyway.
I also recommend authentication to the web server. There are several
ways to handle this which requires a little more in-depth discussion.

BTW: was Apache access authentication ever covered in any of the past
KLUG presentations? I attend very few meetings due to current work
responsibilities, but that will change very soon, and I would be very
interested in this topic in greater detail and would attend, and even
assist with, the presentation.
