I've got a ton of pictures. The site on my web site in the rubi-con area
(www.glaven.org/rubi-con.php). I tend to think a bit differently about
the Con, but then, you've been to three, and I haven't been to any yet.
Some of my pictures are missing, and most of them focus on the more
'interesting' speeches. Be sure to check day three and the fallout of the
mobsters speech and win NFF T-shirts.

Hotel was nice (emphasis on *was*, as I was leaving, they were taking
pictures of damage) except for the fire alarm. Bar area was awesome- we
set up a WAP in our room so that we could sit at the tables and surf the
net. People at the hotel: well, I feel sorry for them. The staff
(bartender, etc) was getting pretty short with people, and the other
tenants were pretty ticked off, as well.

Speakers were so-so: Although it annoyed me that at least 3 speakers I
*wanted* to see bailed and didn't show up, and other speakers were either
totally useless (mobsters.net, so some extent, the PND speech, and others)
or others that lectured on something totally different (remotely
monitoring of firewalls was all about tcl and only touched for a moment on
monitoring firewalls, and it was a terribly insecure way of monitoring).
Some were awesome: The LDAP one, the OpenBSD/Firewall/VPN one, the guy
from Ponte, the guy doing the BBS documentary, others.

Lots of people were there, true. Some were interesting, some of the people
were total whack-jobs. It was nice to be able to talk to some interesting
people, but too many were interested in appearing 'cool' by wearing a chip
on their shoulder, etc.

Overall, it was fun, but I won't expect as much from it next year, if I'm
allowed to go.
