Again, my idea was to make it even more simple.  You boot either the
"Default," "i586/i686" or "Athlon/x86-64" CD because they are the 3
different CD #1s you could have!  As such, you only need the first one
to accommodate all systems.  If that's all RedHat wants to include on
its general site, or in its packages, that's fine.  Just make the other
two available to RHN subscribers, only mirrors, etc...

I think you guys should go back and re-read my original post.  Many of
your suggestions are just re-hashes of what I'm already proposing.

And it would make the point moot, just like an NFS install.  By default,
Ananaconda chooses the most appropriate binary to install for the chip.

All I'm trying to do is accomodate the CD distributions in the same way.
