You're talking about a diffeent medium than what we're using at the moment,
one with very different, perhaps more arduous bandwidth requirements than
e-mail, especially if you take the time to think this through.

Different case, something that may not be solved with a forum or bulletin
board system. Matching the audience with what people look at is done here
by providing multiple mailing lists and suggesting that threads move to
those lists. That method provides the "audience scoping" we need, and we
could indeed use more of it.

But...but.. posting on kalamazoolinux.org IS **OUR** domain already! :)

It might indeed be a good experiment on a new medium, and I'm certainly not
against it (if I were, and it were better, who'd care?). What I want to be
sure of is that it's a good medium, perhaps an additional medium for us to
carry on with.

I would also think that, if this is a good medium, we would want to do our
own forum system. After all, we do, to a great extent, self-provide and
self-administer our own platforms. Given that one of the purposes of this
group is to provide a place for learning about this kind of software, we
would want to adopt it if it were successful.
