No, thats an ego-maniac, as techies we always want to know what is
"best", and as people start with preconceptions about what that is.
The purpose of forums, lists, etc... is to facilitate debate, the clash
of those preconceptions so people can continue to move on to a better
"best". And of course to distribute good one-liners, zingers, and silly
poems.
Disagreement is the clearest indicator of the intellectual vitality of
any group. "Unified" is the warm-n-fuzzy term people use (maybe without
knowing it) for a group of has-beens.

NO! That is how the drooling masses of the over-culture would handle
it. If geeks start handling things what way I'm going to have to find
myself another sub-culture, again.
