Hi, Folks,

Hope these are not FAQ that I've missed but here they are:

1. I'm trying to install CUPS on my BS7.2 system to allow me
to do some decent color printing on my HP DJ670C. I've installed
CUPS and tried to install gimp-print which would give me the
driver I want as I understand it, but no joy. I cannot print
at all now..... grrrr

2. I have a Japanese teacher guest at my house who is teaching
in my wife's middle school. His English is improving and he
has finally getting out of jet lag. The problem now is that he
wants to use his Japanese email system, somehow related to hotmail.
I was able to download the appropriate tools on my wife's MS machine
to allow MS Internet Explorer to allow him to read the kanji
characters in his email but I've had now luck so far in letting
him read his kanji email on my LINUX system. I even downloaded
AfterStep as a WM since one site implies that there is the possibility
to get a Japanese interface in afterstep, but I've not been able
to find the right "plug-in"s or ...? It seems that the accomodation
of Kanji (2-byte) characters in a browser for his email would be
browser specific but I can't find a way to allow Netscape to read Kanji
email.

Any suggestions from all those veterans out there?
