It would seem so but the CUPS documentation implies that there are
drivers
in both but the drivers in the GIMP-print package is better for most
printers.

It appears that my Netscape automatically recognizes Kanji, has the font
set
installed somewhere and renders it automatically. I discovered this
when
I read of this Netscape feature when searching the web on the topic and
tested
it on the site asahi.com where the Kanji looks good. Earlier I had
brought
up, with Mozilla, a Japanese site discussing kanji fonts in which the
kanji
was nonsense. Does Mozilla have a different font set available than
Netscape? Same browser engine, right?
Thanks for the suggestions, Ralph
