I guess I thought it was too obvious to reply, but maybe it is being overlooked.

If you want to appear on the search engines, tell them.

All the major search engines have such a mechanism.  Once you've done all the
major engines, have a search engine search for other search engines related to
your website (Like "staff and IT training search engines").  When you find them,
look for their site submission forms and fill them out.

I recommend you keep a list and check them all in three or four weeks.
Re-submit to all those that haven't listed you yet.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

That will get you on them, getting ranked is a science in itself, but nothing
beats a good website.  Search the search engines for search engine rankings and
you'll find lots of info.
