[KLUG Members] smbmount questions

If I run two identical smbmount commands (essentially re-mounting the same
network share to the same mountpoint) what happens?  Do I later need to run
smbumount twice?

Let's say I have a directory with a few files in it.

If I run smbmount and set the mountpoint to that directory, what happens to
those files?

Being as running smbmount seems to require being logged in as root, if I run
smbmount in a script, is it possible to do su or something similar?
