Hmm. Okay, I have bind running as a nameserver for 192. and
caresswm.org. Also, Samba uses 'wins hook' to import the PC's and
laptops from NetBIOS to DNS. This uses the nsupdate(8) program.

Unfortunately, nsupdate uses current BIND zone data to find out where to
transmit updates. This is a problem because this means that BIND must
allow updates to come in from 192.168.1.2.

Euw. I'm pretty sure I can specify multiple nameservers for a zone. Now,
can I, in the zone file for 192., specify cares.caresswm.org. and
localhost. as nameservers for zone 192.? That is, is it legal to specify
localhost. as an NS record for anything but 127.? Will this destroy
things?

This, I'm pretty sure, will let me close updates through the 192.168.1.2
interface and let nsupdate know that it may update through the 127.0.0.1
address.
