Well, a great tool for using SNMP to get useful info is mrtg (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/), especially in conjuction with the round robin databse tool (rrdtool) also written by Tobias Oetiker (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/)

Using mrtg, you can get all the info you are looking for - I have some documentation written up on pulling info from *nix boxen if you would like to see it, and http://www.snmp4tpc.com had some good *doze info last time I looked.

Keep in mind, though, that mrtg (as well as cricket and a few others) is basically just a tool to make pretty pictures with the info - the snmp utils available from net-snmp.sourceforge.net will also get you pretty much any info you need and allow you to put it in any format you like.
