[KLUG Members] Xine & Win32 libs

I'm in the process of re-installing Xine after my move to RH8.0. Can't
find any packages so I'm installing this one from source.

It reminds me to ask a question I've been wondering about for awhile -

The Xine ./configure sports the "--with-w32-path=path Location of
WIN32 libraries" option. And the Xine website claims it can use Win32
codec libraries.

What does this actually mean? Had anyone used it? It is played like a
big deal but the documentation on this point is pretty shaky. Several
other video players (lamp) claim to support the same thing.

Does this mean one could hi-jack the Sorenson codec from a windows
partition? Or am I missing something?
