Seasons greetings to all,

While doing some unrelated work, I once again noticed a couple of strange
lines in a dmesg file in one of my servers. These seem to indicate that I
have an unused Raid 5 controller someplace inside this server. Before I down
this puppy and rip it out of the rack to start looking for a SCSI connector
on the motherboard, does anyone have any other sane ideas on why I might be
seeing the following lines in my dmesg file:

<snip>
md driver 0.90.0 MAX_MD_DEVS=256, MAX_REAL=12
raid5: measuring checksumming speed
raid5: MMX detected, trying high-speed MMX checksum routines
   pII_mmx   :  1672.590 MB/sec
   p5_mmx    :  1756.410 MB/sec
   8regs     :  1291.209 MB/sec
   32regs    :   723.519 MB/sec
using fastest function: p5_mmx (1756.410 MB/sec)
scsi : 0 hosts.
scsi : detected total.
md.c: sizeof(mdp_super_t) = 4096
</snip>
